Allergy Season

$150.00

Artist: Lexi Bruno
Year:
2024
Dimensions:
5x7"
Medium:
Acrylic on canvas

This small painting depicts a small friend hard at work, symbolizing the harmony between life forms. The bee; one of my favorite insects, serves as an integral part of our ecosystem. Such a small, yet crucial force of nature sparks contemplation on the various roles we all play in the grand scheme of things. The smallest aspects of our actions can have profound impacts on the world around us.

The absence of bees would subsequently decrease pollination, directing a far greater crisis than the mere discomfort of allergies—threatening food supplies, biodiversity, and the natural beauty of our world. In this light, the painting challenges us to reflect on the paradox of pollen and to consider the greater good that is brought about from tolerating minor inconveniences.

Treat the Earth with respect as we are only guests.
